Experience the Thunder Dragon Kingdom's most iconic sites — Tiger's Nest, Punakha Dzong, Dochula Pass, and the vibrant streets of Thimphu.
The Classical Bhutan Tour is our most popular itinerary — a perfectly paced 5-night, 6-day journey through Bhutan's three most celebrated destinations. From the moment you cross the border at Phuentsholing (just steps from Jaigaon), our team takes care of everything.
You'll explore the capital Thimphu with its dramatic dzong and towering Buddha statue, drive the scenic Dochula Pass for panoramic Himalayan views, discover the medieval grandeur of Punakha Dzong at the confluence of two rivers, and tackle the iconic trek to Paro Taktsang — the sacred Tiger's Nest monastery clinging to a sheer cliff at 3,120 m.
All transfers, accommodation in comfortable hotels, daily breakfast, a knowledgeable local guide, and Bhutan entry permits are included. All you need to bring is your Voter ID or Passport and a sense of adventure.
Our representative picks you up from NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport and drives you to Phuentsholing border town. After completing permit formalities, continue the scenic drive to Thimphu along the Wangchu River valley. Check in, relax, and take an evening stroll around the city's colourful market.
A full day to explore Bhutan's capital. Visit the majestic Tashichho Dzong (seat of government), stand before the 51-metre Buddha Dordenma statue with panoramic views, browse the National Memorial Chorten, and explore the weekend handicraft market for authentic Bhutanese souvenirs.
Drive through the breathtaking Dochula Pass (3,100 m) — on clear days, you can see over 30 Himalayan peaks including Gangkhar Puensum, Bhutan's highest. Descend to the warm Punakha Valley to visit the awe-inspiring Punakha Dzong, built in 1637 at the confluence of the Pho Chhu and Mo Chhu rivers.
Morning visit to the Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten — a 30-minute hike through rice terraces with stunning valley views. After lunch, drive to Paro, passing the Wangdue Phodrang ruins. Evening at leisure to explore Paro town, the National Museum, and the Ta Dzong fortress.
The highlight of the tour — an iconic 2–3 hour trek up forested trails to the legendary Paro Taktsang (3,120 m). This sacred monastery clings to a sheer cliff face above the Paro Valley, where Guru Rinpoche is said to have meditated in the 8th century. The views from the top are utterly breathtaking. Afternoon rest at your hotel.
After breakfast, check out and begin the return drive to Phuentsholing. Cross the border and continue to NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport. Carry beautiful memories of the Thunder Dragon Kingdom.
